Utarakhand to conduct multiple tourism promotion events

Uttarakhand government is conducting ‘Destination Uttarakhand,’ an Investors’ Summit in Dehradun on October 4 and 5, 2018. The ministry will also organize sector-specific Mini Investors Conclaves in different parts of the State in August.

Two mini conclaves, specific to tourism sector will be held in Tehri and Nainital on 7th and 10th August respectively. While the agenda of Tehri conclave is tourism and wellness, the Nainital Conclave will explore investment opportunities in film shooting and tourism.

“The government will also organize an Ambassadors’ Meet in Delhi on August 30 to present the vast investment potential in the tourism sector in the State,” said Satpal Maharaj, Minister of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand.

The Tourism Minister said that the mega Investment Meet in October will only have a limited focus on Tourism like infrastructure development, rope-ways, etc., while the Mini Conclaves will showcase untapped potential in areas like adventure tourism, culinary tourism, etc., in the state before the investors.

Uttarakhand Tourism has also finalized the schedule for domestic road-shows to promote the State in the domestic market. These road-shows will be held in Bengaluru (August 22), Hyderabad (August 23), Ahmedabad (August 24), Mumbai (August 29) and Delhi (August 30).
