FICCI Tourism Investors Meet kicks-off in Delhi
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has inaugurate the fourth edition of its Tourism Investors Meet (TIM) today at FICCI, Federation House in New Delhi.
The event will focus on and Interactive conclave, one to one meetings where by exhibiting destinations will be showcasing their policy and facilities with respect to soliciting investment in Tourism Infrastructure through pre-scheduled structured face-to-face business meetings between the State Governments and prominent investors.
Last year, TIM witnessed participation from several state governments and over 150 investors from various parts of the country. The two-day event saw presentations made by the states, followed by more than 200 structured face-to-face business meetings between the states and the investors.
The event will see state presentations on Investment opportunities by the participating states including West Bengal Tourism, Rajasthan Tou1rism, Odisha Tourism, Telangana Tourism and Gujarat Tourism. The FICCI-YES Bank Knowledge paper on Tourism Infrastructure was also released at the function in the morning. The event also saw a presentation on the report summary.
Rahul Chakravarthy, Consultant-Tourism, FICCI; Dr Jyotsna Suri, Past President of FICCI & Chairperson of FICCI Tourism Committee and Chairperson & MD, Lalit Suri Hospitality Group; Suman Billa, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India; Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary,Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India; Leela Nandan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Roadways, Transport & Highways, Govt of India; Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, DIPP, Govt of India; Goutam Deb, Minister in charge, Department of Tourism, Govt of West Bengal and Dipak Deva, Co-Chairman, FICCI Tourism Committee & Managing Director, SITA, TCI & Distant Frontiers will also address the delegates at the event.
