Himachal receives Rs 1800 cr projects for tourism development
The Himachal Pradesh government has got approval from the Central government for projects worth Rs 1,800 crore for tourism development, informed the state Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The minister added that efforts would be made to develop lesser-known areas from the tourism point of view.
“The Gada Gushaini area would be developed from eco-tourism point of view,” he said. The state government has also made a provision of Rs 50 crore for the tourism sector. MP Ram Swaroop Sharma said that the Union government has also approved development projects worth Rs 4,500 crore for the state.
He also announced Rs 2 lakh each for 10 mahila mandals of the area for construction of mahila mandal bhawans. He also announced Rs 20 lakh each for three panchayats for construction of roads. The CM also announced Rs 5 lakh each for two roads of the area. Buses between Mandi to Ghaat and from Banjar-Garagushaini-Chatri-Shimla route.
“The state government is committed for balanced development of the state with special focus of those areas which have remain neglected in matter of development,” he said.
