It’s birthday time at the Yoga Tour!
House boat of ‘Spice Routs’ witnessed a varied birthday celebration in the backwaters of Kuttanad on 16th June. Nicole Rene’e Matthews, from Michigan was the birthday girl. Nicole was one of the delegates participating in the Yoga Ambassadors Tour 2018, organized by ATTOI (Association of Tourism Trade Operators India).
Delegates from 22 different countries along with the officials of ATTOI and the house boat staff greeted Nicole with flowers, gifts and hugs to make the birthday celebration an unforgettable event.
While thanking everyone for the wonderful moments, Nicole said, “It was the first time I am celebrating my birthday away from my country. There was a usual practice of visiting Michigan, my birthplace, on the birthday. I miss my mom and my little son on this birthday. Though I could talk to them today, I do miss them. Still, the love and care showered by you people on my special day enables me to withstand those little worries”.
This is the first time Nicole is coming to India. She has already travelled to Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Canada, UAE etc.
Nicole, who is running a Yoga center in Connecticut, said she liked Kerala a lot. “Even though I go back home after the Yoga tour, I would come back to Kerala very soon,” she promised.
Nicole was greeted by fellow ambassadors at the bus when she boarded from Kovalam to Alappuzha. Each of the ambassadors sang the happy birthday song in their respective languages. During dinner at the Lakesong resort in Kumarakom, Nicole had a surprise party arranged by ATTOI. We, at Tourism News Live wish you a wonderful birthday, Nicole… Many more years to go…
The Yoga Ambassadors Tour 2018 has commenced on 14th June 2018 at Leela Raviz hotel, Kovalam, officially inaugurate by Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State, (I/C), Ministry of AYUSH Government of India. The event, organized by Association of Tourism Trade Organizers India (ATTOI), in association with Ayush Ministry, Government of India and Kerala Tourism, will conclude on June 21 at Kochi, on the International Yoga Day.
