5000 students to be hired by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is planning to hire over 5000 students from the city for working in different positions as a step to better the tourism prospective of the state. The Tourism Board is planning employ 5000 students for 20 different positions in and out of the state. As per plans, the tourism board will be conducting an open job fair at the UTD campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) for the mass recruitment.

Dr Manoj Kumar Singh, Director for skill, training and adventure at MP Tourism Board had met Dr Narendra Dhakad, Vice Chancellor of DAVV, on Friday regarding conducting the job fair at UTD campus. The university has shown green signal to conduct the job fair in association with the board. The students can take up any role in assisting the board as the job profile ranges from peon to officer. The advantage of the job fair is that there are even some jobs which require good communication skills only. The jobs will be based in MP and outside the state.

“Anybody can participate in the campus placement. DAVV will shortly ink an MoU with tourism board to run tourism courses. We are already running a two-year MBA (Tourism) course and have launched a five-year integrated MBA (Tourism) course from 2018-19 sessions. We are also planning to begin certificate course to meet the requirement of tourism board regarding employees”, said Dhakad. Manoj Kumar Singh also guaranteed the vice chancellor about hiring all students pursuing tourism course in the university.
