The return flight (LA2367) will operate on the same days, departing Cusco at 08:25 and arriving in Santiago at 13:50 (local time). The airline has served Cusco from its Lima hub since 1999, operating up to 24 daily flights.
“From August we will proudly offer our first non-stop international flight to Cusco, the historic capital of Peru, as part of our commitment to offering unparalleled connectivity in Latin America and to the development of sustainable tourism in the region. With 24 new routes planned for 2018, we continue to bring the region’s remotest corners closer to the world,” said Enrique Cueto, CEO, LATAM Airlines Group.
Cusco is the former capital of the Incan empire. It is quite famous for both its Incan and Spanish colonial architecture. The rich history, vivacious culinary and easy accessibility to attractions like Citadel of Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley of the Incas attract too many visitors around the world. Located 3,399 metres above sea level in the Peruvian Andes, CUSCO was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
The airline also offers non-stop flights from Lima to 17 destinations throughout Peru, and 32 cities in Europe, USA and Latin America. LATAM Airlines Peru’s new Cusco-Pisco, Cusco-Iquitos and Cusco-Trujillo flights will be boosted by the Santiago-Cusco service and the new services will operate on a seasonal basis between July and November 2018. This will enable the tourists to visit Peru’s major tourist attractions without connecting via Lima.
