New plans for enriching tourism in Tripura

The newly elected government of Tripura is planning to boost tourism and employment of the state by enhancing new pineapple exports, as well as, building new tourism circuits around their picturesque tea garden.

The new project is said to benefit the local community, as their products are welcomed by Dubai and Hong Kong. According to tourism officials, new infrastructure facilities are under plan, that would attract more international arrivals with the pristine beauty of Tripura.

Tripura, known for the production of queen pineapples, is also famous for its wide variety of fresh pineapples inside and outside of the country.  On the other hand, the state has an exquisite history of tea plantation, that could cater best verities of premium tea for the tourist. The newly elected government has also planned to create socio-economic development within the tea plantation workers

“We have now decided to tap international market for this pineapple variety and have identified Hong Kong and Dubai as prime destinations for export. We are sure that the queen variety will establish itself in the international market due to its sweetness and unique aroma,” says tourism officials.
