Kochi marks more tourist arrival with reversed liquor policy
The Minister for Co-operation, Tourism and Devaswom, Kadakampally Surendran has pointed out that the positive change is as part of the liquor policy reversal, which further reflected in the MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) in the state.
Previously, when the liquor ban was there in 2017 the MICE programmes have been shifted to countries like the Maldives and Sri Lanka, which shattered the overall economy of the state. Also, the Blog Express campaign consisting of 30 bloggers from over 28 countries, strengthened the Kerala Tourism prospects to tourists across the globe.
