Oman’s theme for ATM 2018 is Responsible Tourism
Oman is attending the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2018 with Responsible Tourism, including current sustainable travel trends as its theme for this year. ATM 2018 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 22 to 25. The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Tourism.
“As part of the Sultanate’s National Tourism Strategy 2040, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to introduce the most recently launched services, projects and facilities, such as the opening of the new passenger terminal at Muscat International Airport and the launching of the electronic visa. It also aims to promote the Sultanate’s unique cultural heritage, pristine environment and terrain diversity. The Ministry is keen on promoting the Sultanate through this platform to attract international investors and tourists,” said Haitham Mohammed Al Ghasani, Assistant Director General of the Tourism Promotion Department.
The Ministry will focus on highlighting Oman as a year-round tourist destination, especially for the GCC tourism market. A total of 25 companies and tourism establishments from Oman will participate in this year’s ATM. Arabian Experience, Al Fawaz Tours, Grand Hyatt Muscat, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, Atana Hotels, Crown Plaza Duqm & Salalah & OCEC, Khimji’s House of Travel, Hormuz Grand, The Chedi Muscat, Golden Tulip Hotels, Al Shanfari Hotels & Resorts, Al Siraj Hospitality, Aitken Spence Resorts, Bahwan Tourism, Barakah Travel Management Company & The Guide Oman, Oman Airports Management Company, Six Senses Zighy- Bay Resort, Arabian Explorers, Sama Resort & Spa, Dhofar Municipality, Royal Opera House, Kempinski Hotel Muscat and Al Bustan Palace Ritz-Carlton, and Khasab Tours will be attending the ATM Dubai.
At ATM’s Oman’s pavilion, representatives will highlight the services and facilities that the Ministry of Tourism provides in various tourism destinations.
