Speed limit reversed on Indian roads
Now you can cruise through selected Indian roads, as the government had increased the speed limit to over 120kmph for four-wheelers on expressways. Additionally, the speed limit for taxis and cabs has also been increased from 80kmph to 100kmph.
Meanwhile, on the national highways, the speed has been updated to 100kmph for cars and 90 kmph for taxis and cabs. On the same hand, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles can now catch 80 kmph on highways.
On city roads, taxis and personal cars can go up to 70 kmph limit followed by two-wheelers whom can cruise up to 60 kmph from the previous limit of 40 kmph.
Also, one important point that should be taken into consideration is that the above-mentioned speed limits are valid only in certain routes of expressways and national highways. Another key point is that these speed-limits issued are not legal for roads that cross through any town or village, as the speed regulators in the region are the respective state governments.
