Now, there’s a museum opened for selfies
It seems like the word selfie is almost there everywhere. Can we dream of a day where we won’t come across this word? It is there everywhere you go; and now, for the selfie addicts there’s a museum exclusively for you in Los Angeles.
The Selfie museum located in Glendale, California, will be open for a limited two-month engagement from April 1 to May 31. Visitors will be able to explore the 40,000-year history of self-portraiture and the “spectacle of the selfie” through the lens of art, history, technology and culture, while taking some amazing selfies of their own with the museum’s interactive installations.
The museum features over 15 unique exhibits, as well as a record-breaking selfie stick measuring 90 feet, 6 inches long that extends through the entire length of the museum.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take personal portraits with the “Mona Lisa,” on a throne of selfie sticks, and even atop the Union Bank building in downtown Los Angeles.
