Ola, Uber strike called off
According to reports, Uber noted down the concerns of the drivers and promised a resolution. “We have heard their concerns and have taken note of the feedback,” said Uber spokesperson.
Besides Uber, online app-based taxi service Ola drivers too called off their strike, owing to a management assurance to the drivers. “Ola would like to apologise to all its customers, for the inconvenience caused due to factors beyond its control,” said Ola.
The strike began from both Ola and Uber on Monday, followed by a support from other state drivers – Delhi, Bengaluru and Pune. The main problem faced by the drivers from the states was the increasing number of cars, and fewer customers, which further raised suicides among the drivers, due to the accumulation of bank debts.
