Triumph to host Bonneville Speedmaster in India
British Motorcycle manufacturers, Triumph had launched their new cruise bike Bonneville Speedmaster exclusively, in India. Speedmaster is similar to that of its predecessor Bonneville Bobber with little changes in riding position, along with a pillion seat with chrome grab.
Bonneville Speedmaster is powered by Triumph’s old 1,200cc twin cylindered liquid cooled engine, that gives 76 bhp power at 6,100rpm. Gearshift comes on a six-speed with torque assist clutch.
Meanwhile, Speedmaster’s other changes include new LED lights, traction control, cruise control, larger fuel tanks, a multifunctional electronic display and dual riding modes.
Even though the bike looks classic with wire spokes, it has all the advanced features a bike can offer that includes ABS with dual Brembo brakes that ensure maximum safety, while cruising.
In India, the main competitors for the bike would be Harley Davidson’s Custom 1200. Speedmaster offers a wide customisation option for the user along, with extended service options. The bike comes at a price point of ₹ 11,11,500 (ex-showroom).
