Yoga in skies
Hong Kong-based air carrier Cathay Pacific and yoga pioneers Pure Yoga has joined hands to introduce in-flight well-being programme called ‘Travel Well with Yoga’. The project has initiated as part of the airlines ‘Life Well Travelled’ campaign that includes an array of video series prepared by international trainers of Pure Yoga.
The video aims to calm the passengers through a series of meditation and exercise tips translated into different languages – English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese.
One of the highlights of the programme is that the yoga moves can be watched even in economy class seats, that includes stretching to enhance joint mobility, circulation exercise that focuses on relaxation etc.
“The most important objective of the programme is to make the journey more comfortable, as sedentary seating position can make it difficult for the travellers. Thus Yoga being an innovative and traditional way is the best method to tackle this situation,” said Simon Cuthbert, Platforms and Connectivity Manager, Cathay Pacific Entertainment.
Pure Yoga is also offering discounts and offers for ‘Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club’ members with a complimentary 10 day trial as well as 50 per cent discount to all Pure Yoga studios all along Asia.
