Mumbai calls shopoholics

Mumbai has always been called as a shoppers paradise. And, to give it more colour, the government of Maharashtra is organising a 20-day Shopping Festival in Mumbai. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Mumbai shopping festival on 12th January. The shopping extravaganza will also feature performing arts, food courts, stalls, night bazaar and much more.

Festival is similar to that of the Dubai shopping festival, and is sponsored by different brands and malls such as High Street Phoenix, Phoenix Market City, Oberoi Mall, Goregaon, R City Mall, Ghatkopar Infinity Mall, Malad Inorbit Mall, Vashi Grand Central, Seawoods Viviana Mall and Thane Major etc.

Entertainment section includes 500 plus performances, 13 stage events from various local musicians, college bands, Jazz, Rock, International EDM artisst and other genres.

Uniqueness of the festival is its night bazaar that enables the people to start shopping till 4 am, thanks to Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act that gave full authority to run shops for an unlimited time period. Exiting offers and prizes are there for purchasers that gives 100 per cent cashback, and customers can also win luxury cars, jewellery, holiday packages, appliances (gadgets) and much more.

January 13 and 14 -Worli Sea face

January 19 and 20 – Mindspace, Malad

January 26 and 27 – Powai

Another attraction is the Khao Galli, where food trucks are arranged at famous public hangout spots in association with Food Truck Association of India. Closing ceremony of the function will be on 31st January at Gateway of India.
