‘Aerial Dream’ of Visakhapatnam
Tourism in Andhra Pradesh is touching new height with Visakhapatnam entering into heli- tourism map. Already a tourist hub, Visakhapatnam, heli tourism project is receiving good response from local people and tourists. Trial run of this much awaited initiative was conducted on 16th and 17th of December. Regular service likely to begin on 28th of December coinciding with Visakha utsav.
Pawan Hans Ltd, along with Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) is jointly under taking the project. Initially, seven seated aircraft with provision for two piolets and five passengers is used. The helicopters will be flying through city’s tourist spots like Kailasagiri , Araku valley, RK beach etc.
Rs.2, 500 is the fare charging for 10 minute ride, per passenger. The ticket will be available online, through state tourism website, once the heli tourism is regularised.
