Ski Dubai aims to make itself sustainable

Backed by significant amount of research, innovation and development, the UAE is slowly, but surely undergoing a green transformation. Today, it stands on the threshold of establishing itself as a global leader in the green arena. Having already secured internationally recognised honours for sustainability within its modern transport infrastructure, the emirate is now powering ahead with solar expansion and thereby raising the standard on lifestyles of the future.

Ski Dubai is designed for efficiency, like a giant refrigerator, so it only consumes as little energy as an average-sized hotel. The Facility’s snow and its penguin water filtration systems are completely free of chemicals. All the old and used snow is recycled and re-purposed for use in the air conditioning system to assist in cooling. 1 million socks are haded out to guests; after use, the socks are all donated to help the needy through the Oxfam charity. The latest technology like voltage stabilizers are used to reduce overall energy consumption.

One of the UAE’s top visitor destinations, Ski Dubai has won plenty of awards since its opening in 2005. As one of the region’s best family-friendly attractions and lifestyle brands, Ski Dubai has been named the world’s best indoor ski resort for 2016 and 2017.

At Ski Dubai’s Snow Park you can enjoy all the magic and fun of building your own snowman or just having fun in the snow! The 4,500-metre square Snow Park gives you the chance to go sledding and tobogganing or climb towers. You can also explore a beautiful indoor ice cave, and there are many activities for children and adults.
