Wayanad Tourism organizes 4×4 jeep rally from Bangalore

Wayanad, renowned tourism destination in Kerala, popular for its natural scenic beauty and wildlife, is getting back to normal after the disastrous rain and flood. In order propagate the revival of the tourism destination, Wayanad Tourism Organization (WTO), in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) and the District Administration, organizes a 4×4 jeep rally from Bangalore to Wayanad. The objective of the rally is to announce that Wayanad is safe and ready to receive tourists in all respects.  It was informed by Vancheeswaran, President of WTO, in a press meet on 4th October 2018 in Bangalore.

Jose Kynadi and Raveedran K, former president and secretary of WTO along with other office bearers of WTO – Shylesh CP, Secretary; Asharaf, Vice President; Vinod, Joint Secretary; Rajesh, Member and Rally Coordinator and Ravi Arjun, Tours Industrial Partner were present in the press meet.

The rally will set off from Lalith Ashok Hotel, Kumara Krupa Road, Bangalore on 6th October 2018 at 6:30 AM. There will be 30 jeeps and 25 bikes in the rally. The team will traverse through Mysore, where they will halt for lunch break.

After lunch at Wind Flower hotel in Mysore, the rally will resume their journey to Wayanad.  They will be received at Muthanga (boarder between Karnataka and Wayanad) by the tourism fraternity of Wayand along with the MLAs of Sultan Bathery and Kalpetta at around 5 PM. DTPC Secretary and Wayand District Collector will also take part in the reception of the team.

From Muthanga, accompanied by around 50 vehicles from there, the team will travel through Sulthan Bathery, Meenangadi, Kalpetta and will wind up at Vythiri at around 7 PM. Accommodations will be arranged for the team in different properties at Vythiri.

Earlier, a bike rally was organized by the tourism organizations from Coimbatore to Wayanad to mark the readiness of the district to receive tourists
