Witness South India’s biggest Bridal Fashion Week this weekend in Kochi!

Kerala is ready to host one of its best fashion shows – the Wedding Fashion Week 2018 from September 14 to 16. m4marry.com, the premier matrimonial portal in Kerala and Kalyan Jewellers, along with Ambika Pillai, one of the biggest names in the bridal makeup industry, join hands to present the ‘Wedding week 2018’. The three-day fashion extravaganza is to be held at Le Meridien, Kochi. The showstopper for the event will be Kiara Advani

The three fashion legends Anju Modi, Tarun Tahiliani and Gaurav Gupta will showcase their ingenuity through their trends in bridal wear. This edition of the event is special as it is a fundraiser for Kerala flood relief to help the state overcome the worst floods in a century.

“There is a huge surprise for the winning couple. They will get a traditional lehenga set and a bridegroom set designed by me. The show is going to be a huge surprise factor for the audience too. It will be celebrating history and heritage of the country,” said Anju Modi.

Model Saud Hasan Khan is coming to Kerala for the first time. “I am thrilled and excited to be a part of the show. Kochi is developed and here I can see lots of style and fashion. The people here are also good,” said the model.

Designers Tarun Tahiliani, Anju Modi and Gaurav Gupta

The inaugural day belongs to Anju Modi. Anju Modi’s ethos permeates the layers, details and elements of the brand. The catalyst and the foundation of her designing philosophy have been her love for textile and the Indian craft. Iconic Indian actors and female leads like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Tabu, Jacqueline Fernandes and Kangana Ranaut, have found their styles in Anju Modi.

On September 15, Tarun Tahiliani will rock the ramp. Tarun Tahiliani founded his design studio in 1990. His distinctive signature has since evolved as a fusion of textile detail, refined luxury, and meticulous tailoring. The Tarun Tahiliani Design Studio creates couture, diffusion, prêt-a-porte and accessory lines, which are Indian in their sensibility, yet international in their appeal. The rich heritage of the subcontinent is reinvented as contemporary high fashion through the genius of Indian craftsmanship and the finest textiles; along with Italian pattern cutting and construction and new technologies such as digital textile printing. His unique combination of historical opulence and contemporary chic also transcend to couture.

Gaurav Gupta will conclude the fashion week on September 16. Over a decade, Gaurav Gupta, the man and the brand, have carved a world that is future primitive, reflected through sculpture-like garments with a sense of infinity and rhythm. Changing the face of the sari forever, merging indigenous Indian construction and embellishing techniques with his idea of the future, Gaurav has delivered and sustained a world that is Indian at its core and boundless in its form.
