Greater China Showcase to commence on 25th November in Melbourne

Tourism Australia’s (TA) Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase 2018 will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 25 to 28 November 2018.

The Event is designed to provide Australian industry with a platform on which to develop their relationships with incentive buyers from the China market, and to provide insights into market trends and customer behaviour. In 2018, the showcase will be held in Australia for the first time, providing incentive buyers from the China market with an opportunity to experience Australia’s offering first-hand. The 2018 showcase format will include face-to-face meetings with agents and corporate buyers.

More than 80 per cent participants of the 2017 China Showcase have expressed satisfaction on the event. Most of them said their return on investment was excellent. This year the organizers expect to have more participation than the last year.

The main objective of the event is to provide a platform for Greater China buyers and Australian sellers to meet face-to-face to develop relationships and do business. It is expected to increase international buyer knowledge and understanding of Australia as a business events destination. It will also showcase Australian destinations and products and motivate and inspire buyers to make Australia a priority for their clients. It will provide Australian sellers with insights on the Greater China incentive market. The promoters of the event also envisage providing Australian sellers with a unique networking opportunity with buyers in a focused business environment

Business event agents, corporate buyers and media from Greater China will be targeted for the showcase. It is expected to have 20 corporate, 30 agents and 10 media personnel in the meeting.

Local trade media and consumer business media will be invited to attend the event and Business Events Australia will be actively generating media coverage in market.

Sellers will have up to 28 appointments of ten minutes each (TBC) during the business sessions of the Event and therefore may not get to see all buyers.
